Photo blog - Exploring: A small beach town in Michigan

11:41 AM

Hi friends!

Two weeks or so ago my sorority held it's formal at a hotel in a small beach town, St. Joseph, Michigan, on the water about an hour away from my college. I took quite a few photos during the formal and while we were out exploring.

A few of my friends and I right after dinner. It was catered to the hotel - nothing really special, so pictures weren't necessary.

Our table decorations were so cute. Earlier in the day, we had a paint fight where we threw powered paint at each other while wearing white t-shirts. I'll show a photo at the end of the blog for you guys to see.

Like I said, the hotel was in a small beach town. It was right on the water. When we got bored after dinner, we decided to head down there and explore. We found the beach pretty quickly after heading downtown, as well as this gorgeous view.

This was the place we got our ice cream from, called the Chocolate Cafe. It was filled with a band playing, and lots of sweet treats like cakes, hot chocolate, and ice cream of course.

After exploring the beach for a while we stopped by this falafel shop/deli and someone in our group go a falafel. The owner was so nice, letting us sit inside and play games while we waited for the food to be ready.

Before formal, we'd had a color fight. Our sorority bought paint powder and had a fight with in in someone's backyard the day of formal. It was really fun and washed off pretty easily. This is a picture of my friends and I after the fight (I'm on the left).

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my adventure. Where have you adventured to lately?

Lots of love,

Can I just say that I'm loving your new blog layout!! I'm trying to aim for something similar...I'm think I'm going to stick with a white background but try to "spice up" the title. Please tell me: HOW did you get that lovely watercolour flower into your title??
